Why is fear an important ingredient for success?
1) You don’t get carried away
Being too overconfident is not the right thing and could eventually turn into failure. We start thinking that we know it all and stop listening or taking advice from others. Fear will keep us on our feet and we will think twice before making a decision.
2) Anxiety will force us to take action
This might sound odd that how will anxiety help us towards success. Anxiety makes you very conscious and fills you with a lot of fear. It fights your mind to take action! Anxiousness either gets you in or out of the game, so to be in the game and that’s what we want we push ourselves to do something about it.
“Fear is only temporary but regrets last forever”
3) Use fear as a positive
Fear should be used as a positive sign to grow as a person, to push ourselves outside our comfort zones. And by doing that we go against our fears and try do new things to expand our growth. Usually people get more motivated to take action due to their fears, as they would like to learn. They come out of their ego and become a lot more coachable.
Fear and anxiety develops negative self-talk and it keeps telling us we are not good enough. Hence, pushing that extra mile will help reduce fear. Surely fear creates negativity and we get bad thoughts but we should suppress them by reading affirmations and inspiring articles.
4) Fear shows you opportunities
Now how is that possible? How can you look for opportunities when you are fearful and anxious? The truth is whatever you fear of doing is actually something you love to do, I.e :- If you fear of selling products/services and think about it all the time then that is your passion. Any repeated fears you get is your gut feeling giving an indication about your passion.
Out of fear we tend to take action that we don’t expect we ever would. Use fear as a weapon to battle through life for success. Don’t use fear to hinder your progress, be friends with your fear.
